Coronavirus Update

In the light of the Government guidance around non-essential contact, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have issued advice that public worship is suspended until further notice. Funerals, Weddings and Baptisms will still take place until further notice. They may be different from what might normally be expected. Further details can be obtained at the Church of England website: www.churchofengland.org/coronavirus

The information will continue to be updated over the coming days and weeks.

Hampton Church will be open for private devotions on Sundays from 9.30am – 10.30am and Wednesdays from 10am – 11am. If you are over 70 you are encouraged to follow the Government guidance since this is why public worship has been suspended. All of us have a responsibility to avoid non-essential contact. By so doing it is hoped that the worst effects of this Virus will be more limited than would be the case if nothing is done. The elderly and vulnerable need our help and support. Please look out for your neighbours and phone the parish office if you need any help such as supplies. We will do our best in these difficult times. Above all we can pray.

Further information will be given on this website within the coming days and weeks. The Office is open by phone. We are working on ways to keep in touch with you and offer Worship resources.

Keep us, good Lord, under the shadow of your mercy in this time of uncertainty and distress. Sustain and support the anxious and fearful, and lift up all who are brought low, that we may rejoice in your comfort knowing that nothing can separate us from your love in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
