The clocks go back at the end of October and darkness falls much earlier.  Those long summer days when it was still light at 10pm seem very distant. We have been very fortunate that the weather has been so mild. But there is a chill in the air now and winter is coming.

Before we experience the winter months we have November. It is the month of remembering from All Souls to Remembrance Sunday. As the leaves fall from the trees and the poppies from the ceiling of the Albert Hall we remember those who have gone before. If we do not remember we forget.
